Following its immense success in previous years, a sculpture trail in the Garden presented by Surrey Sculpture Society will once more be open to visitors from the 1st - 31st May 2010.
A private view will be opened by the High Sheriff of West Sussex, Mrs Liz Bennett, on Friday 30th of April at 4pm.
Open daily from 10am to 6pm, the exhibition is one of the most significant visitor events on Borde Hill’s special events calendar and will feature many new pieces in a myriad of styles, materials and techniques, within this stunning heritage garden. All the sculptures, whether from limited editions or unique, indoors and out, will be for sale at affordable prices starting from £50.
Borde Hill is grateful to Creaseys for their generous support throughout the last 10 years.
Installed by Surrey Sculpture Society and Head Gardener Andy Stevens in the tranquil setting of these beautiful landscaped gardens, the artworks will both challenge and delight spectators. As visitors follow the trail, they will discover the sculptures set against striking and varied backdrops within the series of garden ‘rooms’, demonstrating different styles of design and presentation. With changing natural light and memorable colour the trail will create a unique visual experience.
For the same period The Green Tree Gallery, with its warm, friendly atmosphere, contemporary setting and easy access from the car park, will again present an enticing exhibition of smaller indoor pieces by Surrey Sculpture Society members.
Borde Hill Garden is open daily 22 March – 12 September and 23 – 31 October 2010. Entry to the Garden and Sculpture Trail is £7.50 per adult, £6.50 Group/OAP and £4.50 per child.
Gallery entry is free.

About
Borde Hill: - Borde Hill
Garden is Grade II* listed by the English Heritage. The formal 17
acre Garden is home to a superb collection of trees and shrubs,
many of which were raised from seeds collected in China, Tasmania,
Burma, Tibet and the Andes in the 1920’s. The sculpture trail
coincides with a colourful show of spring flowering plants, which
include spectacular displays of Rhododendrons and Azaleas.
Creaseys - We are delighted
that Creaseys, Chartered Accountants in Tunbridge Wells, are
sponsoring this exhibition. Creaseys have been auditors to Borde
Hill for many years and are regarded as one of the leading
independent business and tax advisers in South East England.
Creaseys are keen followers of our sculpture initiatives and we are
most grateful for their support again this year.
The Green Tree Gallery - The Green Tree
Gallery is a contemporary gallery featuring a wide range of
affordable arts and crafts from both local artists and those
