‘A Wild Escape’ – wellbeing day for adults focused on connecting with nature

In this 5 hour workshop you will immerse yourself in Borde Hill’s beautiful Warren Wood, using your senses to connect with nature and experience the health and wellbeing benefits that woodland can provide.

Spend some time forest bathing in a tree hammock, build a woodland shelter to sit and drink a cup of nettle tea made in a storm kettle. Learn how to light a fire using natural materials and cook a wild lunch. Experience nature through your senses and express yourself through art or poetry exercises.

A real restorative experience!

The outdoors offers unique sensory experiences for the chance to regain balance and escape from the pressures of everyday life. Woodlands are natural havens to escape and provide restorative environments, with sounds, sights and smells stimulating all the senses. Research has shown that people are more relaxed in outdoor environments.

Bushcraft encompasses a range of skills based on primitive ways of living which can help us to harness the benefits of nature and allows us to live with and become attuned to the natural world.
