Welcome to Bark In the Park

A great day out in the stunning Borde Hill Parkland for dogs of all shapes and sizes and their families, including a fun dog show, have-a-go activities, ‘Waggy Tail’ family trail, stalls and demonstrations.

Displays and Have-A-Go Activities

Bark in the Park includes exciting arena displays, from Canine Hoopers to Dancing Heelwork, plus the chance to bring your four legged friend into the arena for an interactive training demonstration or a mass obedience class.

You can also enter your dog in our Fun Dog Show, whether they’re the poshest pedigree, or have the waggiest tail, there are plenty of pawsome prizes to be won.

Over at the Flyball Arena, watch spectacular displays of this canine sport throughout the day. The Brighton Flyball team compete in national and international tournaments and will be on-hand to answer your questions about the sport – come along and enjoy the energetic spectacle or let your dog have-a-go!

Itching to get your paws on more dog-friendly entertainment? Try your hand at the Barkour course, get nosy in the scent trail or cool off in the wet play area (rubber ducks included!).

Eating and Shopping

When you or your furry friend need to refuel, head over to the food court for tasty treats for dogs and humans alike. Relax to live music and reward your pooch with a glass of pawsecco.

What day out would be complete without some retail therapy? Bark in the Park has a range of carefully selected stalls with everything your dog could possibly need – and maybe even a treat for you too.

Fun for all the Family

Children can follow the ‘Waggy Tail’ trail around the lakes, discovering some fun dog facts and hilarious doggy jokes along the way.

Book your tickets in advance to save on admission. Early bird tickets are on sale now and include admission to Borde Hill Garden. Bark in the Park is open from 10am-4pm – dogs and children under 16 come for free!

We are thrilled to announce that the host of the Bark in the Park arena will be rising superstar trainer Jodie Forbes. Jodie is a six time 1st place winning trainer at Crufts and awarded the prestigious Crufts Inspirational Young Person award in 2020.

What's On in the Arena

Nicola from Ferns Path Gundogs is going to start our day in the arena with a bang! Watch her highly trained hounds retrieve at the sound of a shot, search for objects hidden in the arena and perform amazing feats of memory recall.

Jodie, our arena host, and her team of Crazelpup dogs walk you through the steps to becoming an expert Hoopers and agility team. With more medals between them than you can wag a tail at, these puppies know how it’s done…

Gavin guides us through the do’s and don’ts of games with your hound and how to play safely so that you and your pooches have the best playtime ever!

Rachel from Hearing Dogs for the Deaf is here to show us the many ways a highly trained assistance dog can aid a deaf person in everyday life. These clever dogs could even save your life.

Join Nicola from Ferns Path Gundogs and watch her highly trained hounds retrieve at the sound of a shot, search for objects hidden in the arena and perform amazing feats of memory recall.

Calling all puppies! This is an opportunity for owners to bring all puppies under a year old to join us in the arena. Gavin from Family Dog Club will take you and your puppies through a series of beginner training signals. Who knows, this might be the launch of a Crufts career for you and your puppy!

Nikki Brown from Canine Angel joins us in the arena to talk about Oxypet, an exciting new health product for your dog.

We end our arena time with a fun dog show! Sign up at the arena tent during the day to enter your dog in any of our four categories:

1. Pampered Pooch
2. Fluffiest Floof
3. Best Trick.
4. Waggiest Tail
