Specialist Spring Plant Fair
Sunday 12th May, 10am-3pm
Following the huge success of last year’s Specialist Plant Fairs, the Plant Fairs Roadshow returns to Borde Hill with a wide range of locally grown, garden-worthy and unusual plants to inspire keen gardeners.
An exciting line-up of independent UK nurseries from across five counties in the South East (including several RHS exhibitors) will be exhibiting on the Azalea Ring and the Plant Fairs Roadshow’s very own Plant Doctor will be able to answer questions and help visitors find the right plant for the right place.
Borde Hill’s Garden Team will also be available during the event to answer questions, while Head of Horticulture, Harry Baldwin will be giving a talk in the Marquee at 12noon, details to follow.
The spring plant fair is a wonderful time to visit Borde Hill, with a great display of rhododendrons, azaleas and flowering trees, bluebells in Warren Wood, tulips en masse and 400 Fritillaria orientalis ‘Rubra’ providing a feast for the eyes in the Italian Garden.
Eating At Borde Hill
Visit the Gardeners’ Retreat Café, open daily from 10am and located in the beautiful surroundings between the Rose Garden and the Mid Summer Border. It’s the perfect spot to sit and relax with a barista coffee, light lunch or a delicious cup of tea.
Choose from an enticing selection of freshly made sandwiches, toasties, and savoury delights, as well as a delicious array of cakes and bakes.
Private Hire
Are you looking for a beautiful and tranquil venue for a special celebration, or a unique setting to entertain your clients, host a meeting or treat staff to an away day?
Our wonderfully decorated marquee can be privately hired and can accommodate up to 80 people. Instead of a break out room, your clients or team will enjoy getting out into the fresh air and exploring the Garden, to reawaken the senses and promote wellbeing.
For Families
The ideal place for children to explore, learn and find joy in nature
Plan a fun-filled day for you and your family in the great outdoors, come rain or shine.
