Explore the Garden on a guided Sensory Walk
Take sanctuary from today’s hectic world on a restful and restorative guided walk in the beautiful grounds of Borde Hill Garden.
Visiting gardens and spending time in the fresh air can enhance feelings of wellbeing whilst helping improve both physical and mental health. Whether living with sensory or physical impairment, our dementia-friendly walks provide an enjoyable experience for all.
This walk will take in the Garden’s colourful and highly scented Rose Garden, at its peak with 750 David Austin rose plants filling the air with fragrance. Visitors will be encouraged to get up close and to smell the different varieties, whist also being able to feel and touch the purple nepeta blooms surrounding the Rose Garden’s central pool, a favourite plant for buzzing bees and pollinating insects.
Take time out to relax and chat with like-minded people whilst reconnecting with nature through sight, smell and touch.
£3.00 per person (including Friends), plus Garden admission. Carers are Free
The Garden is accessible to those with restricted mobility, whilst gentle slopes with hard surfaces allow wheelchair access. There are plenty of benches located throughout the Garden.
