Explore the Garden on a guided Sensory Walk
Take sanctuary from today’s hectic world on a restful and restorative guided walk in the beautiful grounds of Borde Hill Garden.
Visiting gardens and spending time in the fresh air can enhance feelings of wellbeing whilst helping improve both physical and mental health. Whether disabled through sensory or physical impairment, or through age, our dementia-friendly walks provide an enjoyable experience for all.
This walk will take in the Garden’s highly scented deciduous azaleas which will stimulate the senses with vivid colours and fragrance. Visitors will also be encouraged to feel and touch the large purple allium flowers blooming in the herbaceous borders.
Take time out to relax and chat with like-minded people whilst reconnecting with nature through sight, smell and touch.

The Garden is accessible to those with restricted mobility, whilst gentle slopes with hard surfaces allow wheelchair access. There are plenty of benches located throughout the Garden.
