The Sussex Guild Contemporary Craft Show
Members of the Sussex Guild will be showing their inspiring work in a village of marquee pods on the lawns of the Azalea Ring on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th June.
Visitors will have the opportunity to meet the highly skilled designer makers and will be treated to spectacular examples of ceramics, furniture, glass, jewellery, metalwork, textile art, woodwork and more; most of which can be purchased, or specially commissioned.
In addition, there will be craft demonstrations, including two daily timed dramatic and unpredictable raku kiln firings where red hot pots are removed from a kiln and placed in a sealed smoke chamber before being removed to be decorated with marks made from horsehair or drawing with a feather on a hot tile. Raku provides all the elements of fire, earth and water!
With skilled demonstrations, fine crafts and a wander around the beautiful Garden, there’s plenty to see for a wonderful day out, you will not be disappointed!
