‘Beating Retreat’ by The Band of The Royal Yeomanry
We welcome you to the marching band event on Saturday 25th June in support of ABF the Soldiers Charity.
Thanks to the generosity of the ABF Crawley and Mid Sussex Hub president, Andrewjohn Stephenson Clarke, this event will take place at Borde Hill Garden near Haywards Heath.
The band will perform from 7:30pm in front of the Elizabethan mansion. The event opens at 6:30 pm when ticket holders may enjoy a glass of wine on the South Lawn followed by ‘Beating Retreat’.

Borde Hill Garden is English Heritage Listed Grade II*, set in 200 acres of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with spectacular vistas across the Ouse Valley Viaduct. The Garden was created in 1893 by the current owner’s great grandfather and plant expedition sponsor, Colonel Stephenson R Clarke. The botanically rich and nationally important collection of trees and shrubs is highly regarded as one of England’s ‘great gardens’. Numerous exotic trees, ponds, old potting sheds, Italian and Rose Gardens also provide the ideal setting for our 17th annual Sculpture Exhibition.
